In recent years, yoyofriends are trying new designs that are out of the ordinary. Our bread and butter has always been bimetals using a combination of a less dense material in the middle and a denser material on the rims. We have dabbled into compact to undersized yoyos in recent years. Starting at our special 6th anniversary yoyo, Baryon. Then we followed up with stainless steel koi and the recently all titanium undersized TiNY. We want to again venture into the undersized throw again but this time with one focus in mind, performance. In 2022, with many hardships and challenges, we finally mastered the manufacturing of magnesium yoyos. However the ultimate goal was not to stop there. It is to combine magnesium in conjecture with another material, like MgSS. Magnesium has a unique property of low density while still being metal, perfect to combine with another high density metal to create a light body, ultra rim weight yoyo with a unique feel.   Throughout the seven plus years of yoyofriends, we have always had an idea of an injection mold, polycarbonate yoyo in our mind. This is a monumental task for us as an injection mold has a massive upfront cost. If the design is not up to standard then the entire injection mold could be void, costing us 5000 USD or more in loss. We also have a pedigree of high performing yoyos no matter the shape, material, and cost in our entire lineup, and we still want to keep that tradition alive even if it is an injection mold yoyo....
